September favourites

Hi, hello, buongiorno! Welcome to my new website!

Spring has well and truly sprung by now and the garden is blooming, so I spent September painting flowers.

We’ve have some brilliant peonies and anemones flowering at home as well as freesias, cherry blossom and lavender.

I’ve also bought some incredible Iceland poppies and flannel flowers from our gorgeous local florist, Flowers on Argyle. Florists Cindy and Kylie source beautiful fresh locally grown poppies from Bargo.

I got some lovely little china pieces from Peters of Kensington for the studio for inspiration and still life.

We also got into the habit of walking at least five kilometres each day. There’s some beautiful scenery around the highlands, and what better way to experience it than with exercise.

The beautiful cool spring mornings bring out the best colours in nature. Green, green grass and blossoming trees everywhere – this Spring is the best one for flowering trees and shrubs that I have seen in the last six years.

One of my new commissioned artworks “Highlands Spring” inspired by my morning walks also went to its new home in September.
