‘Postcard From Venice’ awarded People’s Choice

Elizabeth Burton’s ‘Postcard from Venice’ has been awarded People’s Choice at the 2022 Bowral District Children’s Foundation Best of City and Country Art (BOCCA) Prize.

The piece is from Ms Burton’s abstract collection created over the last year.

“It’s an honour to receive this award, because it is such a meaningful acknowledgement from our local community,” Ms Burton said.

“The Italian landscape is very special to me, but ‘Postcard from Venice is not a typical Venician scene.

“More than the popular tourist hotspots, the piece is designed to evoke an emotive response from the back streets of Venice - the peaceful tranquility from the less known.”

‘Postcard from Venice’ will be available at Ms Burton’s open studio event this weekend.
